Wade & Butcher FBU Grinds

I have two pics here of WB Celebrated FBU grinds. The first is my own, and the second is from an old BST thread here which has a much thinner grind. Did the Celebrated FBU evolve from a thicker to a thinner grind all in the span of a few decades at the end of the 19th century?

Could this help with more precise dating?
Evolution: FBU tang stamped, Celebrated FBU quarter hollow, Celebrated FBU half hollow.

I couldn’t tell you if they intentionally thinned the grind at the factory or not. If there’s a blade etch on it... it was built that way.

That said, I lot of Sheffield steel got reground over the years. This could be one.

Oh I forgot to mention they both are the original grinds with etching.
