Vulfix Brush Users I Need Your Help!

I am looking to purchase a new brush and Vulfix is the one. I am mostly a cream user, but occasionally use soaps. I am also a bowl latherer. I am looking to get either the Vulfix 2233 or 2234 in either super or silver tip. I love a soft brush, but am afraid of the floppiness. I will mostly be using my Georgetown G20 scuttle or other bowls to lather.

For any of you Vulfix users out there, what is your experience with these brushes both size wise and hair type wise. Is the 2233 too small? The silver tip too floppy? I was originally looking to pick up the 2233 in silver tip, but was afraid that may be too small and too floppy. What do you think?! I need your help! :biggrin1:

I have a 2234 in silver tip and it is floppy, but not to the extent that it isn't a joy. It works extremely well to bowl lather creams and feels great when applying the cream to the face. I have face lathered with it as well, but it definitely isn't the best tool for that job. If you find a good deal on one grab it.

I had a 2233S. I would go for the 2234. The 2233 is a bit on the small side. Don't worry about the floppiness. The brush lathers anything you can throw it at.

I have the 2234s which is the only brush that I have owned. I love it. I bowl lather using both soaps & creams and does a heck of a job on both. Like blzfrm said...If you find a deal on one jump on it.

My 2234 Super (Best) is as good as any other of my brushes. It can do it all - soaps, creams, face and bowl lathering. It's a bit too prickly for me. I'd like to have it with Silvertip grade (Simpsons Super). The size is right and the handle is very comfortable.

I own a cheaper Vulfix 1000A and its amazing value and quiet soft for being best badger. Something to think about if you want to save money....

I have a 2234 in Best grade as well and I think is one of the best medium-sized brushes you can get for bowl lathering and creams. It's a bit floppy as well, but I don't find any problem in using it for facelathering as well with circular motions when I shave with soaps. And yes, is a bit princky (like all Simpsons Best grade brushes) but for me is ok because it helps when I use soaps. If you would like totally softness would go to Silvertip grade.

Cheers!

I can only speak to the Vulfix 40 and 41 that I owned. I would describe them as more "luxurious" types of brushes. Very lush, on the floppy side, but when you reach for them, you know what you're gonna get, so it's a nice change from the firmer/stiffer backbone brushes that you may own. I haven't found the resale value to be particularly strong however, so if you buy it new, plan on keeping it for a while.
