Just got this actual Gillette Model 102 Pocket Edition razor, going by the serial number (C940125) it was manufactured in 1916.
Gonna clean it up, disinfect and eventually use it.

What do you guys think.....seems to be of solid brass, no plating.

Just shaved with mine this morning! Great razor if you're an open comb kinda guy.

Does your have the common small crack on the handle? Also, what year was your razor made??

I have the exact set although the inside of your case is better than mine. I have not used it yet. Been on a 1912 kick recently......

I may have paid a little too much for it but I liked that all the pieces was there, it's old and was having a case of RAD then. I paid $39.53 BIN off the bay. Free shipping too.

Nice razor. Looks almost identical to my dad's/grandfather’s, one of the newer old-types with no serial #. Ball end looks the same, so they must not have changed the design much prior to 1929. My handle was split, but I just epoxied it so now it's a true 3-piece........

Mine's a great shaver with Iridiums or Super-Max Sunrises in it.........
