Vintage shoe models, styles no longer offered

So I was thinking just like razor's, there must be some shoes you fellas would like to own, but they are no longer made. I will be discussing more casual dress shoes, but this is open to high end dress shoes and vintage sneakers (maybe some Nike AirRaid's or something).

I really appreciate a good pair of causal leather loafers, but have been concerned with the wet weather as of late. I don't walk far enough to require Swims during the week as I drive to work, but I don't like getting the leather soles of my shoes very wet.

So basically I have been looking at some nice leather loafers, but with a rubber sole. I have been seriously considering Born's Vincent loafer, but I am not 100% sure I like them or the brand.

So looking around online I found myself back at Allen Edmonds' website, as I really like their shoes. Oddly enough I started surfing around and ran across an image for a shoe they no longer produce. It appears to be a loafer with a somewhat squared off moc toe (which I like) and contrast stitching (looks great with jeans). The cool part is they have a rugged rubber sole. I really wish they still made these. Honestly I wish I just knew the name of them, so I could search eBay and the like. Anyone know what these were called?

So what is your shoe you cannot find or wish you had? Please limit these to items no longer produced (old model, etc)...not a wish list. I don't want a "I wish I could afford a pair of Jon Lobb shoes" situations.

So old I can't even find a pic for it.
I used to get Rockport World Tour shoes for casual and work wear, comfy, nice classy shoes that I could actually chase after AWOL kids at the treatment center I worked at. Around 2000, they changed the design to a moc toe versus a rounded toe, the seam on the moc toe hits me wrong and I was never able to get another pair. Which is a bummer. I also think that the moc toes loses some of the classiness that they had too.
I used to wear mine so much I'd have to get a new pair every year as I just wore out the soles. Oh well, I guess Rockport isn't getting that money anymore.

Here's the new version, still the same sole and most of the shoe, except the moc toe of course.

As for other desirables Nike Air Mowabbs were some of my favorite shoes ever

I have this color scheme (and a few others lol) when they were re-released a few years back but I really want one in this color scheme (the left one):

Oh man, I remember those Mowabbs in the brown (lower left of the photo you posted). A classmate of mine had them in junior high and I was very jealous!

I never really liked sneakers (I mean I wore them but didn't collect them like some people). But for some reason, I've found myself desperately wanting a pair of jordan iiis, and jordan ivs. I don't know why though.

I would love to have a brand new pair of the AE discontinued dress shoe style "Sanford." Sorry to lazy to find a photo!

Also, would go way out of my way to get the close to original Weejuns of say 1974 in oxblood or whatever they called it--probably in penny loafer and tassel style, both. All leather soles and heels. Maybe go all the way back and get a pair in the original brown, before the red even came out. Bass ought to feel ashamed with what it has done to the Weejun brand.

Allen Edmonds Byron. When my current pair bites the dust, I guess I'll have to go cordovan.

The AE Evanston now on sale as being discontinued itself is not too far off, is it? Higher cap on the toe, fewer eyelets han the Byron, I guess. And the AE Van Ness is real close the the Byron isn't it? (Except I do not know if the Van Ness comes in a regular leather rather than a rubber sole.)

All are not too far from my beloved and departed Sanford, except the Sanford has perforations in the toe cap and is a blucher rather than a Balmoral.

Nothing new under the sun, I suppose.

I like the way the Byron has just a touch of perforation - they're my slightly-different captoe. Also, they fit me like a glove (I have extremely narrow feet) and it seems like I saw it mentioned somewhere that the last itself was discontinued as well, but I have no idea if that is true or not.

But yes, you're right, they do make some very similar styles, and hopefully I will find something else I like as well. Thanks for bringing my attention to the Evanston and the Van Ness.

I used to have a pair of them I picked up used. There was some sort of mold issue in the toe that I got tired of working with (only shoe I have had this problem with). I eventually shined them up and gave them to a local Salvation Army type place. Some guy who wears an 11.5D probably picked them up for next to nothing at the thrift shop after they processed them. Good for him.

I would like to find a pair of Rockport deck shoes like they made back in the early/mid 90's, even if they are no longer in style as they had really comfortable soles. Their updated version might be fine but I have not tried.

My biggest shoe frustration is the constant change in style with athletic shoes. Especially basketball shoes, since a proper fit is crucial. It needs to be tight to avoid blisters and injury but not tight enough to constrict. Whenever I have found the perfect fit and want to replace a worn pair with the exact same style it can no longer be found. Maybe I am just kidding myself and the size varies even within the same exact model. I have certainly seen too much variation within the same brand to find the labeled size reliable.

You don't see too many of these around anymore. At one time, I owned four pair. I got some really strange looks when i wore them on duty in the Navy, but actually, they conformed to the letter of the uniform regulations. (Shoes must be black, plain toe, clean and well maintained.)

My father, who had extreme osteoporosis and a very bad back, wore only these! The benefit of them is that your heel is actually the lowest point of your foot and therefore relief pressure of the spine. He had them in all kinds of colors. He was glad that my step-mom worked in a store that sold these shoes and she got first dips on specials. There were quite expensive for the time.

Oppland was for the Fall 2007 collection, and the boot I have is worn out. The oxford and second boot (Fall 2008) fits me tight (six years of running around in retail can do things to one's feet.)

Which is why when Nike re-released the Mowabbs a few years back I picked up like 3 pairs lol.

Yea I loved mine to death, I think I wore them for nearly 3-4 years straight took them on numerous camping/hiking trips, and they raced mountain bike with me for 1 year too (before I went clipless) Mind you I worked at the local Nike Store so I had tons of other Nike's to wear in rotation, but those were/are still the ones I remember the most. I even had a "Mud is good" shirt that matched the colors of the shoe, add jeans and bandana, and I was stylin!
