I am curious about the origins of the HD. I saw one in an antique shop that was not a slant, but had a slightly different safety bar design. It had two rectangular slots with a separation point in the center much like a Gillette Tech, but the handle was all HD. I did a search, but I am not seeing anything regarding the first years of produciton, etc. Can anyone please enlighten me on the subject?
