Vintage Gold Tone blades

Never tried them but they look great 
There's an old thread about them Gold-Tone Razor Blades - https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/threads/gold-tone-razor-blades.499141/
but apparently no one used them. My guess is that they're carbon because if they were SS there's no need for the gold cover..
And they did SE blades too

Yeah I have some coming in, and I've also bought a vintage blade sharpener. Hopefully sharpening them up and then sanitizing it will work. Recently tried some Gillette Thin (without a sharpener yet) and it was a nightmare. I couldn't make it more than two swipes.

Yes I'm planning to shave with them when I get it. Will post more pics. The Gillette Thins I got a few weeks ago were supposed to have a golden hue to it too, but they were so old that they turned brown.
