vintage brush for resto?

What is a good price for a vintage brush for restoration. I recently saw a couple of brushes in a antique store. They were everready brushes. Both appeared to be in good shape with the exception of the knot. No nicks, chips etc. and appear that they could be pretty easily buffed up to look nice.

Thanks

Honestly - I'd try not to pay more than $5 - 7.50 a piece. Maybe I'm cheap but I don't see these things having value unless they're going to be restored - meaning a dirty old brush isn't worth much - that is of course unless the brush is in some way special - special material, special significance...

I try to pay not more than $5 or 6 per handle, but lately it seems that people paying way more on the .bay. I have seen handles in antique stores and laughed out loud when I saw the price tag they put on them - often they are real crap, have cracks or other blemishes making them totally non-usable for us.
