Vintage Black Hawk Wedge/Original Arrow Razor

I was hoping someone could help me learn more about an Original Arrow Razor, Medium Hollow Ground razor I found in an old sewing box.

It looks very lovely and the owners always bought the best of everything so I think it should be of good quality. I would just love to know more about it. Thank you in advance.

What is imprinted on the tang?(metal part behind the blade edge that fits into handle)

It says...Wade & Butcher Sheffield, England.

Popular brand, but kinda common model. The box doesn't go with the razor. Someone will come along shortly to tell you about Wade and Butcher or try google with badger and blade along with wade butcher in the search field

It's a fairly common razor in a mismatch box. Late 1800s in date. What else do you need to know?
