Vietnam Razor

I came across this photo of my boss when he was in Vietnam and I thought y'all would like it.

My boss is on the right and I think he might be shaving with a bare blade.

Any idea what they used in the Army back then?

Thank your Boss for serving his country and fighting for our freedom in the world, it was a difficult time for those who served and placed their lives on the line every day while in country, however we had it a lost easier for shaving on our Destroyer, but when the ship was riding up or falling down in the waves you had to hold up on the next stroke until it momentarily stall on the top of a wave. In the really old days when canons were used there was a saying "to fire on the up roll" it took a moment for the fuse to ignite the powder and if you lit the fuse on the up roll, the cannon would fire at the top of the wave therefore always giving the same point of reference while firing on the high seas, some thing to know if you ever have to shave on a ship,

I asked my dad and he said the Marine Corp just used the bottom of their mess kits and a bayonet. OoRah :wink2:
