Wondering about the "hole" in the knot when wet? Some curling and clumping of fibers in the center of the knot. Have tried combing it. It always dries in a stand. This seems to affect the ability to hold water and lather. What am I doing wrong?

That is a common problem with horse-hair brushes, from what i have seen, but i never noticed a problem with retention of water when i had mine.
You could the puck longer and try not to shake out the water. Good luck.

i had a problem with the hole in the knot after 1 use!
i noticed that the hair was tangled at the bottom and combed it out.
its notmperfect but it is better i think horse knots easily colapse

Thanks for the advice. I'll try combing it again.
Comb until the cows come home, but mine is the same way. Combing numerous times has helped, but mine is still hollow in the middle. My brush still works well though.
Same here. I used mine this morning and had lather in it for 3 passes and some more I did not need. It holds way more lather than my Semogue 620. I would rather use the Zurito.

This is all good advice. I don't think I have made a good lather with it however.
