Vie long horse hair back bone

In general, how does the back bone of a 50/50 mane to tail brush compare to a boar or badger (assume same knot, loft, etc). Thanks

It would be more similar to a boar/pure badger than a silvertip; but has the softness at the tips of a worked in boar/silvertip.

I have 2 Vie-Long brushes,one is 65/35 and one in 50/50
They are much tougher from all my Badgers-Boars,this isn't always a pleasure thing
The Horse hair have a different feeling,love or hate it
The Silvertips-Synthetics are much softer,can not make a comparison
No shedding or problem "i absorb and i don't give back".
