Viduyet Super Max Stainless blades

Tried shaving with one of these in my new (to me!) Slim last night, and it felt like I was trying to shave with a butter knife. The blade was so dull it felt like it was ripping the hair out of my face. Didn't even try the blade for more than 2 strokes. Finished shaving with my Tech and a Treet Classic. I don't know if I got a dud blade or if that's just par for the course with these. Anyone else tried these blades before?

Yes, I wasn't overly bowled over with them. However, I seemed to have better luck than you did as I was able to shave with them.

i do believe i have a pack of these upstairs unopened from a sampler. maybe i will only try these when i don't have to go to work for a couple of days in case it wrecks my skin and spoils my mojo!

I was also very much NOT a fan of this blade. Never put something that rhymes with Idiot and is razor sharp so close to your face.

The Super Max stainless is horrible even for one pass - they really drag.

The Super Max Super Stainless and the Super Max Super Platinum are much better - sharp and smooth for around 3 shaves.

I have the saloon (improved stainless) that was not bad...

They last me for a DFS shave. Good blade for those "quickies" :D

Most Saloons in India use these blades, snap them in to two and load up one half in shiny brass shavettes for a clean up job !

I had my first shaves with a Super Stainless last week and don't have much to complain. Not my 1st choice but better than some more 'respected' blades.

They might have been a bit sharper but they did the job.

Super Stainless are good, Platinum's are better. I don't know why companies make so many grades of product. It's stupid to me. Chances are somone will try the worst incarnation of their blade like in the OP's case and bash their product and probably never try the rest of their line. Lord is also guilty of this.

Indeed I am stumped by the product packaging of the stainless and the super platinum as they are of the same cost.

The cost bracket is the same as the Wilkinson Sword which IMHO are the best in class in the price point.

The super stainless falls in the same price bracket as the 7 O'clock Permasharps in India, but clearly both are good blades with the Permasharp an inch ahead.

The king of blades however at almost 5x the cost of the Wilkinson Sword and stainless is the 7 O'Clock black. While I get a mere 4-5 shaves out of a yellow feather, the black gives me 6-8 shaves easily and is way smooth compared to any other blades I have tried.

I have no problem getting a shave out of a Supermax Stainless, not a good shave but reasonable, hey I can even get a shave out of a Laser blade :scared:, the other Supermax blades are much better. but as they say YMMV.

I haven't given up on Viduyet blades yet just because I had a bad experience with these blades. I still have the SuperMax Platinums in my sampler pack, along with about a dozen:ohmy: other blades I haven't had the chance to try.

I’ve been using super max stainless steel blades; I formerly used the Gillette blades, and still using super max because of my legs hair. I’ve been shaving for a long time, satisfied by this kind of blades because of it’s one of the most widely used in the international market, a high rated quality, and performance. I just want to share my experienced. Always smile!

SuperMax Titanium is one of my best blades. Never tried any of the other variations (stainless, super platinum, sunrise). Unfortunately, the brand doesn't seem to be too popular on this site, so I think they do not get tried or tested as extensively as all of the various Gillette versions. I still love my Titaniums, and for less than $15 for 100, still a pretty good deal.

I've had great success with Platinums, an am about to pull the trigger on some Super Platinums.

One of my first blade. Hated it when loaded into my merkur HD.
Went on to R41 for a few months with other blades. Returned to Vidyut loaded in weber - was surprised with the smooth BBS shave!
Probably due to improved techniques (careful shaving with the R41). That or it is simply a case of weber being able to accommodate different types of blade.
