Vetiver Shaving Soap

Who makes the best vetiver scented soap? A few times per year I bust out Salter's French Vetiver shaving cream, but I've become more of a soap man. Are there any soaps out there that are like this and are good performers?

I was gifted a puck of Savon du Midi Vetiver that a friend picked up for me at Blenheim Castle and the scent is pretty good. The lather is on par with my good soaps and the scent will linger for me for awhile, it pairs well with a vetiver after shave or my favorite Musgo Real Classic.

I can most warmly recommend Tierra Humeda by JabonMan, that is if you like vetivers like Route du Vétiver e.g. He also makes some other vetivers in combination with other scents I think. The soaps are very good BTW.

I haven't tried it, but I believe RazoRock Nervous Wreck is a vetiver scent.

The Nervous Wreck I used this morning is great but the scent is mild. I have also used a Queen Charlotte soap sample that was a bit trickier to dial in the lather but the scent was stronger and more enjoyable. The Nervous Wreck is a purer Vetiver scent whereas the QCS has some wood notes and a bit of Patchouli I believe.

Another vote for Queen Charlotte, I have the croap and it smells really good. Probably my favorite as far as scent is concerned and one of my favorites for performance.
The croaps supposedly have a slightly stronger scent than the soaps, I will likely go with the soap for my next order just to try it.

Also, the vetiver AS balm is fantastic, it's not on the regular list, you have to order it as a custom scent.

Queen Charlotte Vetyver gets my vote as well. Their soaps leave my face buttery soft after the shave, and the balms as stated are superb. Their Vetyver does have a very slight woody note. Smells like laying in a small trench blind with leaves over you.

+1 JabonMan is Vetiver soap Number one :001_cool:

Now I am curious about the JabonMan soap...after looking around a little it appears the best way to get some of this is to PM him, which I did. Is there a better way, a website or something maybe?

Benton Clay Vetiver Paradisi is a great choice. Nice deep foresty smell with a bit of fresh grass. I give it , but YMMV.

Jabonman Vetiver Haiti smells awesome....I haven't used it yet, but it smells great!

I am very impressed with the Jabonman soaps.

Thanks for the tips guys, much appreciated. I forgot I had it, but I actually have a sample of QCS Vetiver cream, but I'm convinced there's some patchouli in there with the vetiver (I may very well be wrong, but it's there to my nose) and I don't do patchouli. I don't do glycerine based soaps either, so the QED is out, although I am sure it's nice stuff. I'll take a look at some of the other recs. I haven't heard of JabonMan. What is that?

+1 on Savon du Midi Vetyver

It's a great soap.
