Very minimal alternative to a brush stand when travelling.

I do realise that shaving brushes don't need to be put on a stand to dry out, I also know that some people do like to use a stand to dry their brushes anyway. I have been learning to tie knots recently and one I came across was the Bottle Sling Knot. Since I travel every week I decided to use the knot on my brush so that I could drip dry it wherever I go without taking a stand with me. Here is the instructions on how to tie the knot:

And here is how I used it to hang my brush :biggrin1:

I hope somebody else gets some use out of it!

As an added note I understand that the ultimate minimal alternative to a stand is to just not use one, but this is intended for those that like to use one anyway :biggrin1:

I have also used a string but not that intricately, just one knot at each end, one to hold the brush and one to close the loop.

Depending on the duration of stay in one place, I have used one of these if I use a stand at all. They are cheap and take up almost no room in my luggage.

Regards,

Doug

A shoelace should work just fine, I am just using some paracord that I had lying around :) Rivguy I like that solution, reminds me of Macgyver!

That's pretty cool. I've been around boats my whole life so have some familiarity with knots but have never seen that one. Traveling I just leave the brush on end on the counter after a good rinse and shake.
