I have a VdH boar brush from the Deluxe sample kit. I bought another and attempted to beat it into breaking in (soak, soak in borax, use to make lather, soak more...) before giving it to someone.
It bloomed.
You heard me. The VdH brush I bought bloomed. The one from the VdH kit is identical, but didn't. Ever. The bristles curve outward, then curl around back towards the center rather than continuing out into a full bloom.
What gives?
My Vulfix #404 blend hasn't bloomed either.
