Hello, the original glue is hideglue, I use PVA, less messy and odourless. Although PVA is irreversible, compared to hide glue or wallpaper glue.
The leather is paper thin, so the glue joint is stronger than the base material.

Was that the British case version for the Fatboy or it's just a case for another razor made to fit it? I've seen that case before, but I don't remember which razor was in it.

It is textured paper, used for eg. on book covers. I do not know any contemporary source, this piece came from a sample page from a printers paper catalogue from the 20ies.

Was that the British case version for the Fatboy or it's just a case for another razor made to fit it? I've seen that case before, but I don't remember which razor was in it.

Maybe it is a super rare British Fatboy case or maybe it is a repurposed No 16 case as someone thinks it does not suit the Gen 3 Aristocrat.

Just "trolling". It is a No 16 case modified by me to accept a 195. Imho the Fatboy case is butt ugly, while the 16 case is too bulky for the Aristocrat.

What I love about these vintage cases are small metal cases for blades.
They are very hard to find, I wish I had couple of them
