Hello everyone. I have been enjoy my new wet shaving experience. I have started thinking, do they make value minded quality mens hygiene and grooming products? For example do they make a nice to hold in your hands toothbrush? I have stopped biting my finger nails now and actually am growing something I may be able to trim and smooth out and such. I am not sure what else to ask. I do not have tons of money to spend on designer items, so I am looking for bang for the buck....think VDH, Williams, red box IP razor blades, tweezerman badger brushes, etc. Does that give you an idea of what I am looking for? Thanks for the help.

There are all sorts of quality products that don't cost a lot of money, but I will often spend a little bit more to get better value.

I am finding an interesting thing happening in my brain. Now that I am enjoying wet shaving, I am starting to dress a bit nicer. I am spening a bit more time "geting ready for the day". I am finding myself thinking about nicer mens grooming items and a quality but afordable watch, etc. I can not just go out and buy these items on my fixed income but I can save for them and treat myself now and then. I understand Tweezerman makes some of the grooming items. Any ideas and suggestions?

Check out the Everyman Jack line of products. Got them in America at Target or Walmart, can't remember which.
+1, this has also affected my cooking habits which the lady of the house is loving every minute of.
No idea about the toothbrush, but Baxter of California and Everyman Jack are both fantastic value-minded mens grooming lines.
I'm not sure what kind of toothbrush that you are looking for, or what you are willing to spend, but even an expensive hand driven toothbrush at $5 will last the recommended 6 months coming in at something like $0.82/month. If you go for the generic store brands, which in my opinion are often comparable, you can get them even cheaper.
As for shaving, as long as you don't get any major acquisition disorders
shaving this way can be very cheap. Just get a Gillette Tech and a VDH kit from your local store, some decent blades from one of our fine online vendors, and some witch hazel for after. There are of course variations to this setup and one can find cheap soaps and creams like Arko, Jaguar boar brushes, converted coffee mugs for lathering, and ollive oil for pre-shave.

What I was looking for were items with a better feel to them, no such much plastic. I know the toothbrush idea is certainly not needed but something a bit nicer than neon colors, plastic, etc. Do they make a toothbrush and grooming items that have a de razor feel to them...aluminum, metal, stainless....rather than plastic? It is only a thought and again it is not nessasary at all....just looking.
I feel ya! I hate walking down the oral hygiene section at my local grocer or department store! Everything's brightly colored with molded handles and angles. Some even vibrate!!
Not sure if I'm looking at toothbrushes or marital aids!!

I know the mainstream toothbrushes work just fine but sometimes you just get tired of plastic and neon colors and goofy bristle heads and such. I like the feel of my Gillette Tech compared to a plastic disposable razor. I know you folks understand.

Based on the smell a badger hair shaving brush, not sure I'd want to stick a badger hair toothbrush in my mouth!
I was in Drug Emporium today and they seemed to have the biggest array of shaving products. True they were mostly "drugstore" brands, but very value minded and many of the products I have seen tossed around this site often. They had lots of Clubman products which I have not used myself, but again seem to be used by many and are a good value. They also seemed to have some accessories such as a boar bristle brush and some shaving mugs. It was worth a look...
