Value for money fragrances

Hi,

It's nice to pick up a bargain now and then. For example the old style, but still nice, YSL Rive Gauche bottles are half the price of the newer
80ml offerings.
Jazz too, which I haven't tried, is also available in the old packaging.

Recently bought a 118ml bottle of Giorgio something I had years ago, again pretty cheap.

Even checked out lots of new fragrances from Marks and Spencer.

Nice to get some value for money.

Anyone else found some bargains recently?

I found Azzaro pH at TJ Maxx for a good price. A semi blind buy since I'm new to this field of interest. It's great... better for me than the 10ml decants I've paid $10 and $7 for. Better than the (universally maligned) AdGio I got for Christmas two years ago....

Marshall's/TJ Maxx is a great place to pick up some frags on the cheap. Most recently, I bought two bottles of Kanon Norwegien Wood for $7 each. Its a really nice scent, sandalwood/vanilla, very subtle.

Marshall's/TJ Maxx is a great place to pick up some frags on the cheap. Most recently, I bought two bottles of Kanon Norwegien Wood for $7 each. Its a really nice scent, sandalwood/vanilla, very subtle.

I just picked up one of those as well. Smells pretty solid for $7.

Bigelow Elixer is a good value.
BBW's "Signature" line (appears to be replacing Bigelow at BBW) is about the same price level (under $25) and SWMBO really likes a couple of the scents.

I've got some GFT Limes and it lasts about 15 minutes... NOT a good value for $60+

Hmm... Didn't have that at the store I went to. They had the Azzaro (score!); they had some Hugo Boss thing or other; they had Lagerfeld Photo; they had some "car" scents (Ferrari in the black box I think). That's about it. I was wondering about the Photo.

Hmm... Didn't have that at the store I went to.

TJ Maxx/Marshall's inventory seems to differ store to store, there are some usual suspects though, CK One, Curve, Adidas, Burberry, etc.

Burberry London and Touch can be found at TJ Maxx/Marshalls. Folks rave about Versace The Dreamer and that as well can be found on the cheap.

I really like the Black Elixer

Black for winter, blue for fall/spring, and white for summer.

Just wish white lasted longer. Blue easily lasts all day.

Cuba Paris Gold, in the cigar tube, is a great bargain if you like Le Male. $8 for two 1+oz. bottles at Perfumania.

Some great replies. Personally being in the UK bargains are harder to find, you can get them online but it's that buying blind scenario.
I have seen Azzuro Pour Homme and Ungaro III fairly cheap but have never tested them before.

Rive Gauche, I bought the 125ml old style bottle is very good value for money. Though when you guys talk about $10 buys it makes me slightly envious.

I went to B&BW today to try the new "Dark Amber" in their signature line and am wearing some right now. I don't really think it is for me as it is a bit too sweet (but I don't know for sure, I have only had it on about an hour). However, it seems like a really high end fragrance for the price. It reminds me of Paco Black XS without the strawberry syrup stuff mixed in. The Amber base in Dark Amber and Black XS are incredibly similar. The signature line colognes are roughly $30 each, but there is always some sort of sale, coupon, BOGO, or something going on.

I also noticed the shrinking CO Bigelow section. Too bad.......

I think it's highly dependant on location. At my local B&B, both the Bigelow and Signature men's section has grown by a lot. I saw a guy in there today buying some Bigelow. It just depends on if it sells well in each location.
