I have never personally used Valobra , but I keep Cella in an O S Mug with a plastic lid from a container of frosting. If you use it on a fairly regular basis , it should be ok.
There, that wasn't so hard. Pizzaguy has been waiting for over 3 years to find out.
Seriously, I would think you would want to cover it as least. I have a block of it that I have yet to open, but I hear is similar in consistency to Cella. Anyone else have any experience using it regularly?
Whoa! Three years and not one reply until today?! If I use a soap in an OS mug then I cover it with a dunkin donuts lid. I turn the lid upside down and it fits perfectly.
I use the Valobra soft soap almost daily, and do not cover it. It does not hurt it at all to remain open. If I am not going to use it for a few days, I will cover it to protect it. I understand that Cella does have to be covered to keep it from drying out.
I keep a good size chunk of Cella in a mug. Started in December, never covered it once with a few days of not using due to travel. Used it yesterday after a full week. Worked like a champ, no issues whatsoever. Don't over think it, it's soap, it will work fine. I don't know anyone that covers their hand soap, so what is with the concern of covering shaving soap? I've been just leaving them as is for as long as I've been shaving. Sure they get a bit harder, but they still lather great.
Well, I went ahead and got some of those IKEA Grundtal containers with the lids for this soap. The lid is glass so I did cut out the label on the Valobra box that the soap came in and glued it to the inside of the lid like I've seen some guys do in other threads. This soap performed wonderfully. It was the first time I had ever used it. Not much scent at all..... just a very mild menthol soap. It's definitely a keeper.
