Used My Shovelhead Yesterday

my brain goes "thonk"
I used my Shovelhead for the first time in a long while and got a BBS with it. It still had the same blade it had in it from the last time I used it with no rust. I might have dried it off. The thing I like about is that it is so audible that you can hear when you are finished shaving a section of your face. That lets you know when you are finished going with, across, and against the grain.

I have one of these on the way to my door. It will be just my second gem style razor. My first is a 1912 which I haven't got along with very well, so I'm going for better things!

The 1924 Ever-Ready Shovelhead (manufactured circa 1919 to 1934) probably is my favorite SE razor.
The shovel head is the only razor use. It is the on razor type I own.

With a SS PTFE or a CS blade you can’t go wrong using this combo.

When I shave I shave both face and head. I have coarse hair and sensitive skin.

I have tried other SE’s. They provided excellent shaves.

For me on other SE’s provides me the shave I expect.

Shovel heads get very little love. Shovel head forever.

I know this is an older thread. Have a good shave.

Wow, I didn't know it was that old. I've been using a head made by Maggard Razor. I'll have to load up a blade in Shovel Head and start using it again. I get really smooth shaves using it.
