Ok, I must admit I've never used an aftershave in my life.
Also, I come from a pure electrical-razor world prior to this (I now have a hefty five DE shaves under my belt ).
But this past week I picked up a $4 bottle of "Afta" ('Fresh') at the local supermarket.
After my shave I washed off with cold water, patted my face dry and applied a pea-sized glob of Afta to my face.
Initial reactions:
- Smells good but not a very strong scent at all (wondering if I maybe actually would had liked it to smell more),
- Absorbed real quickly (seconds) into my face
- No razor-burns/tingling feeling (which is what I got last shave and the reason I bought something like this) - but I also skipped the XTG pass so not
sure what to credit that for.
I will order a Witch Hazel bottle from Amazon one of these weeks. They did have one at Safeway but it was the Safeway brand and a relatively small bottle went for over $6 which seemed way too high.
