The "Mueller Little Shaver" comes with the original blade, but also fits a GEM blade nicely.
Its operation is closer to sharpening a pencil with a knife, and it definitely brings retro elegance to the study.

I used to want to get some DE blade handy planers like these too, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a more recent product, and it's not easy to get in my area.
Fortunately, there are still some leather crafting or baking tools that still use DE blades in modern times.
