While not a baseplate issue, I did recently take delivery of a Gillette Tech Razor in Original Box. It is one of my favorites, and gives an excellent shave. It's one of the ultra rare TTO Techs that looks remarkably like a 1953 Super Speed.

On a side note: upon seeing an upside down base plate razor at an antique store they told me it was for shaving hair, not whiskers, and that it predated electric clippers. It was a Gillette NEW LC.

I received this bad boy like that with not one but two rusty blades in it! Gillette Goodwill #160

Congratulations on finding an Goodwill #160. Considering those are pretty rare, an upside-down baseplate version will be even more desirable.
This does raise the question how many blades kan be stored in an upside-down #160
