Unusual Schick Injector-ID Needed

Well, I have never seen one before and you go find another for sale in yellow! You are right though. It's looks like the easy rider handle but I didn't think it came in black and as you pointed out...never seen one with a Hydro-Magic.

Well, since the "type" designations were not of schick's creation, and the person who maintained the site no longer does, it probably falls to us to place it into the scheme.
Would this be a type L of some sort?

Well, now that you mention it and I look on the Schick site....that black handle is an L1 handle so they must have carried the Hydro Magic lever over at least for a short time.

I have one of these razors that I got at a flea market it says its a schick 500 but besides that I only know it shaves quite well

L type ("Easy Rider") handles come in a few different colors but aren't marked Easy Rider. I don't have one that has that handle with the Hydro Magic, might be a transition razor ie. using up the parts from the K types?

How nice to have a variant!

Awesome! A chrome one. And it's a 500 to boot. So there we have it. A seemingly rare variant as they were transitioning from the 500 round handle to the square handle. Thanks for helping me out with this one.

Renaldo has added some edits to the version of the same pages that he now has added some updates to. He refers to my yellow (recent acquisition) Injector as an "L6".

So I am confused....according to the post below (which is the site I go to)...they only go up to L4. Is that his site or a different persons?

As far as I know, it is Alan G. Appleby's website. He was having issues with the previous provider and was working on getting it back on line. Whether or not he is updating the contents, that is another story. But it is Alan G. Appleby's original work.

No idea what Renaldo is up to?

Wait's Compendium already takes the L series up to L6.
L5 (this one is confusing to me, and I think it's a naming error, but) schick II twin blade with blue handle.
L6 Schick Championship Razor - 1976 (or 1972?) olympics.
