Was in a coin dealer/military collectibles shop earlier today. On one wall is a large display case containing war memorabilia donated by families of deceased WWII and Viet Nam veterans. Prominently displayed up front is what I believe is an adjustable fat boy (I'm not too up on them but I think that's what it was). It was moving to see that displayed there along with a uniform shirt and other personal items, knowing it had gone into action with a soldier and now survives him as part of a picture of his life and service to our nation. Of course the display case is off limits and its contents not for sale...in this case it's exactly how it should be. If anyone's interested in seeing it I'm sure the owner wouldn't mind a photo being taken of it.
