unsmelly soap?

Due to a stupid thing in my past, and a fractured sinus as a result of said stupid thing, I have become very sensitive to smells.
Are there soaps that don't smell? Not all scents bother me, but some cause a terrible headache. It's pretty much trial and error.

So, are there not so smelly soaps that I should try?
I'm using a Van Der Hagen soap now, mostly because it was cheap and not very smelly.

Any suggestions?

I know that that Kiss My Face has an unscented cream. There are a lot of soaps that are unscented as well, but I don't know them off hand. I'm sure you'll get more responses regarding that. I would say hit the West Coast Shaving web site, and Smallflower.com to peruse the soaps for unscented options.

There are plenty of unscented soaps to try. If you want to look for scents that don't give you a headache, lots of us have inexpensive samples to try so you don't have to waste a lot of money looking for a soap you like. If you can narrow down some of the fragrance types that bother you, that would be a first step.

Look for Mystic Waters, Mike's, and Brrister and Mann. They all make unscented shaving soaps and they are highly rated here in the forum.

I use it regularly and it does well for me. Almost no odor, definitely no fragrance. It has a very slight smell of lard, I can only detect it when washing my face and it doesn't linger, even in my goatee.

I will second the Williams, I have three pucks off of the bay from the 80's and they seem to have no scent.

I actually already have some of this soap. I use it for hunting season due to the lack of scent. Just never thought of shaving with it.

Maca Root cream from the Body Shop has a very understated smell, like earthy. Like a root, I guess. I like it.

I only use unscented soaps, and I've tried just about all of them. In terms of performance, my favorites are Barrister & Mann, Synergy, Mike's and Strop Shoppe. L.A. Shaving Company unscented is also very good. MdC is pretty amazing, but also amazingly expensive. QCS unscented is fantastic but is a special order (we had a B&B group buy, so I stocked up.)

Glad to hear you got some samples, which is the smart move. Hope you find a few that work for you.
