Unscented cream with Trumper like qualities

My favorite creams are Trumpers. Gave myself a wonderful late afternoon shave today with Trumpers Violet.
But I have become a "sensitive skin" guy much to my chagrin. No problem today, but I just know if I repeat this week, my face will be on fire before the second pass is done. Most scented screams will rip me up if I go 2-3 days in a row, or even in same week.

It's annoying because this was the smoothest shave I've had in awhile. Very little touch up needed. The Trumpers lather seems to work very well for rough spots. I'm one of you monkeys, so I always get a good BBS, but this just seems smoother and easier. Usually use Kiss My Face. Can also usually use AOS Lavender with no problem, but it's been awhile since I've used it.

So question is cream experts, is there an unscented cream as opulent as Trumpers? Sitting here rubbing my face now delighting in what a nice shave that was. Expensive creams are not an issue if they deliver like this. I'll likely try the AOS unscented since it's easy to pick up.

Have had bad reactions to the following- AOS Kelp, Proraso (the worst), Trumpers Almond, Trumpers Rose, Domenico Caraceni, Castle Forbes Lime.

Tolerate the Kiss My Face creams well (and they are surprisingly good). But there's something spectacular about the way my face feels after a Trumpers shave (unless the irritation/sensitivity thing kicks in.)

Thanks guys. Was in Rite Aid so snagged some Real Shaving Co.

Will look at some Simpsons on my next blade order from West Coast Shaving.

I too have quite sensitive skin. Give T+H Ultimate Comfort shave cream a try.I've had great luck with it and in terms of overall performance and Trumpers like qualities,it scores very high.It has a VERY slight lavender scent but its so mild, you barely notice. And it has never bothered my skin.

Thanks Craig and Predict. Sounds like another I should sample. The scent of these creams never bothers me per se. I love scented creams. But there seems to be something in most scented creams that irritates my face. Kind of comes and goes, which is freakin' unnerving. But never happens with Kiss My Face Lime or Mint.

Wow turtle, the Real Shaving Co. was excellent. While not heavily scented, it does contain perfume. Face was on the edge of reacting. We'll see how it goes on subsequent shaves, but an excellent cream...especially given the reasonable cost.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have tried many unscented creams (except for Simpsons) and prefer Original Unscented Shaving Cream from The New York Shaving Company .

Another one to try, the gentleman's refinery unscented. Not sure how close it is to trumpers, but it's a great cream none the less.

I usually go unscented during the week. However it is just because I am a wacko about not interfering with my scent of the day. I have to give big +1's to AoS unscented, T&H ultimate comfort and The Gentleman's Refinery unscented.

Although it is scented, it is very mild, and may work: GFT Coconut oil shave cream. Is HIGHLY regarded around these parts for it's performance. Also, you might fare better with creams that are scented with essential oils instead of fragrance oils. Queen Charlotte soaps are pretty benign to the skin for the most part. I used to love Mama Bears Soaps, but they are heavily scented with fragrance oils, ad would sting my skin. Now I just use the Queen Charlotte Soaps creams or the Geo F. Trumpers Coconut oil shave cream and have no burning or reaction. Since the service and customer support with Queen Charlotte Soaps is amazing and top notch, I am almost certain if you sent Matt (owner of QCS) an email, he could make you up a batch of unscented cream as well. He always has responded to my emails really fast. Do some searches on here for their products and you will see that they use all natural ingredients and their performance is top notch as well.

Best mild or unscented creams I have tried:

1. Xpec unscented cream
2. Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort
3. Simpson Luxury cream
4. AOS Unscented
5. TOBS Jermyn Street (NOT unscented, but very mild cologne scent - great performer)
6. Castle Forbes Lavender (NOT unscented, but lavender tend to calm and care for my face better than anything out there)
7. AOS Lavender (same as CF Lavender)
8. I Colinali ( has a metallic earthy scent to it, but the qualities of this cream makes it excellent for sensitive skin - if the scent was better, this cream would beat EVERY OF MY 66 creams in my den, this cream is THAT GOOD)

@chseifert Have some Simpsons on the way. Wll probably also try the T&H. Seeing a lot of good comments about that.

@ODJ - I tried some Castle Forbes Lime which is supposed to use essential oils I believe and it tore me up. The Lavender might be another story.

And I am probably so smitten with Trumpers that I will try the Coconut for sure.

Another unscented I haven't seen mentioned is eShave. Not the cheapest but it is a great performer and I can't see how anyone would have a reaction to it.

Curious to know what the OP thought about Simpson's. I have the same problems with sensitive skin and also can't use any scented creams I've tried for more than one day a week. The Simpson's cream is great for me. I kind of like the natural, earthy smell, too.
