Underwear you wear?

OldSaw

The wife's investment
After many years of wearing what my wife bought for me, I ventured out and actually bought my own underwear the other day. Talk about choices. It shouldn't be this confusing and a female store rep should not be offering to help me with this selection. At least three different women in two different stores offered to help me. I told them I would figure it out on my own.

So how does a man figure it out on his own? Well, he does about the only thing he can, just grab the nearest pack of the correct size and head for the checkout and the next store. At the next store, grab a couple more packs and get the heck out of there.

While safely at home I began trying on all the different styles that I bought. What I discovered is that the sizes can be very misleading. Of course, some will shrink more than others when washed, but if they are already too tight washing will only make them worse.

So anyway, the 2xist Evolve No-Show brief at Target turned out to have the best all day comfort. They were a little pricier (I see they are on sale now) than the others that I bought, but it is nice to be able to go through the day without having to constantly make adjustments. Yesterday I spent over nine hours driving and it was the first time I didn't have to squirm around at least once an hour to get things back where they belong.

Never thought I'd be writing about my drawers, but there you have it.

2exist is good stuff, if a bit pricey(it's underwear, for cryin' out loud). I like their deluxe wifebeaters as well. The boxer briefs by Jockey also work well. I like the way they fit. I don't see how anyone can stand boxers. Maybe to sleep in, but all day? Nyet.

I wear Hanes all around. Ten pair of white socks for work. Ten pair of black socks for the rest of the time. Jockey shorts for work. Boxer briefs everywhere else I go. T-shirts for work. Wifebeater shirts for dressing up.

I've been looking at the 2-Exist line for a while, but I thought they were horribly expensive. The prices at Target look quite affordable. I may pick up a set or two and try them out.

One of the guys at work swears by the UnderArmor brand, says that is all he ever wears ... they look to be the most expensive of all, but they're made out of material that helps to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Anyone using this brand that can comment on whether UA is worth the price?

Heeeellll no it's not worth the price, man! Wal-mart sells Starter, which is cheaper and just as good, in my experience. Shoot, even that cheap Athletic Works stuff ain"t half bad, for as cheap as it is.

Seriously? A bunch of guys asking about and talking about their underwear? Their UNDERWEAR? Man, there's some weird topics around here...

Moving on to the next thread...

Lol...(just messin')

My thoughts exactly... I've been trying to avoid this thread, but I had to see why it kept showing back up in the new post list

"Chicks dig me because I rarely wear underwear, and when I do it's something unusual." -- Johnn Winger

..."any of you homo's touch me, and I'll kill ya'"...Stripes- a ridiculously silly, yet fun flick. Now, my contribution to this unusual thread,

"The only thing between him and us is a thin layer of gabardine..."

Jerry to Elaine regarding Kramer's new-found "freedom"...

I doubt you had to tell many of us the origin of this quote

UA is good to work out in, but I wouldn't spend money on it for day-to-day use as underwear. If my job entailed a lot of outside time it might be a different story.

I was always under the impression that once the time "Sprung Forward" it was free ballin season (you know, kinda like straw hats after 15 May).:lol:

I keep a pair of drawers in my glove box in case I get in an accident :lol:

I must admit I was a little embarrassed to start this thread, but then decided to throw caution to the wind and share what's working for me.

This thread has made me laugh so hard! This is pretty weird, even for you Oldsaw. Although, my wife did feel it necessary to study that picture for a bit. :001_rolle

Hanes Bikini Briefs, BTW.
