Under-eye circles

Are there any recommendations for something to help with dark circles under the eyes? I'm tired of looking like I have been on a 3-day bender.

Well, crap. That's not what I wanted to hear. I'm not interested in actual makeup, so I guess I'm stuck. Oh, well. :thumbdown

I have tried one or 2 different things with only minimal to slight improvements. One was called Tourmalene charged eye cream by Aveda- (I may be spelling that wrong). I have heard on here a few times about a eye product by Decleor- but I have not been able to find it online or in stores- there website is not the best. I suffer from allergies and I am told that alot of it is hereditary and that my allergies contribute to it as well.

You just have them. For me, having a tan reduces their appearance optically. Being pale with bags under your eyes just makes them seem a lot worse.

Most cases of chronic dark circles are hereditary. They're a result of the skin around your eyes being thinner than usual which allows for the blood vessels to be more prominent (activities promote vasodialation will make them worse i.e. smoking). I would really look into the mechanism the product that you purchase to ensure that it at the very least sounds plausible and isn't totally snake oil. To reduce their appearance just make sure you drink lots of water, sleep well every night and eat well (low iron counts supposedly contribute to dark circles although I haven't really looked into it).

I've had dark circles since I was a kid, and used to be really self conscious about them but I've grown to live with them and they don't bother me so much anymore. I've been told they add a sense of mystery to my persona ahahaha and chicks dig mystery. :001_smile

Well, you might as well go on the 3-day bender, then, if these puppies really are hereditary. :sneaky2:

(get a separate tube)

:001_smile No kidding!

An ex told me she loved the dark circles because it made me seem adapted for sunny locations- like I was constantly wearing football player's eyeblack. Too bad the light green eyes cancelled that out. Oh yeah, and that she was a lunatic. But that's another story!
