Uhoh, I have SRAD

I'm pretty new to the DE shaving thing, but have been fascinated by straights. I stopped by a local antique shop last week, and they had about a dozen at $8 a piece. I picked up a WM Elliot that fit its scales nicely with a hint of patina.

Well today I went back and picked up a nice fitting John Jay "velvet shaver" and a Boker with a beautiful blade, but broken scales...

I've been talking to Larry A about honing that first Elliot, just need to get it shipped his way and get a strop kit to start this properly.

The Boker can be very good... Even if you need new scales, as long as you don't have any pitting or rust on the edge, get that one shave ready! They are great!
