TWSBI 540 NIB Unit

Hello everyone. My girlfriend bought me a TWSBI 540 and also J. Herbin 1670 anniversary ink for Christmas. I love them both. However, my 540 is an Extra fine nib, I also have a Fine Lamy Safari. Anyway, the extra fine and fine nibs don't really do the 1670 ink justice because the gold color isn't really coming out. I thought (maybe my memory is bad) that Goulet used to have the nib units for the 540. I know the pen has been discontinued, and I'm assuming the nib units went with it. So now to my question--Does anybody know if I can get a different nib for my 540? If so where could I purchase one?

Edit- Looking for a stub 1.1 nib. TWSBI website is out of them as well.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick replies, but anderson pens and twsbi are out of 1.1 nib. Do yall think that since the 540 has been discontinued that they will discontinue making the nib unit as well?

According to Brain at Goulet pens, Twisbi will be coming out with a 580 and it will be backwards compatible with the 540.

The 1.1 nib production has been really inconsistent. My first order of them sold out in 48 hours, then it was two months before I got any more. I had that batch for about a month, then have never been able to get them again (It's been months now). The 580 will use the same nib unit as the 540 but that doesn't help us if the nibs aren't available separately. :). They've just come out with 1.1 and 1.5 stubs on the mini, so hopefully, that means we may be getting some soon (ever hopeful!).

Very true. I watched FPgeeks, on youtube, where you were talking about Twsbi testing a new nib manufacturer. I guess we have to see how that plays out as well.
