two tix Brush

I scored this brush in a shaving kit I won on the bay... anyone know anything about them?

Looks to me like a wood handle, the knot doesn't look to be in bad shape at all. Its quite a small brush.

Great looking brush. I love the handle shape. What razor is that in the background?

Two-Tix was a well famous English company that made leather travel kits (approx. 1950's-1970's). They were especially known for calf-skin leather cases. Really high quality stuff, with stainless tubes, brushes and mirrors.

Here is one of mine (middle pictures):

I don't see any reason to think that your brush is not a brush Two-Tix made or had made to sell in their shaving kits. Wardonia, another famous English brand, did the same, contracting out for branded brushes to include in kits.

So, I would say its pretty rare and a really sweet catch.

So I used this brush last nite.

I whipped up an AMAZING lather of Salter Indian Rosewood cream. This little brush realy did a great job, and FAST.

It was surprisingly soft on the face, with a nice scrubby feeling and backbone.

However, almost ALL the printing on the brush washed away with the lather. However, I think it will make a very very nice travel brush!!

Beautiful brush and set. Enjoy. About that razor, everyone is getting very jittery because it resembles an Eclipse. Need close ups. (Sorry to be sidetracking this thread)

Thanks for the warning, If I ever use mine, I'll make sure to clearcoat it first... I haven't yet though as it is so nice looking and I'm a little wary about a vintage wood travel brush (kind of afraid the bristles will fall out).
