TWELFTH ANNUAL "One Blade in February" Challenge - 2021 Edition

Man this seems like such a cool challenge! Unfortunately I’m in the middle of blade testing since I’ve only been DE shaving for a little over a month. I’ll make sure to get in on this next year though!

Never until just days ago heard of this game, but it sounds fun.

I'll add myself to the bottom of the list. I think I'll use several razors (or maybe not) and the blade I use pretty much all the time which is a Polsilver SI or a Wizamet SI. They are 100% the very same blade, but for February, so as to not be contentious or push the limits, I'll pick one. It will be the Wizamet SI, but only because I have an opened tuck handy, and several others in case one won't go the entire month.

This would be cheating for me because I grew a beard this winter. The first time in 10 years I haven't been clean shaved. I do trim shave my cheeks and neck areas daily though so just for fun I will play!

Good luck, guys. The timing's not going to work out well for me. I just got a new Fatip Slant razor, and want to try it with a bunch of different blades. I'll have to observe from the sidelines.

In 2020, I managed to finish the event with a Wilkinson Sword Germany without further problems. Now this year's event might be a real challenge. Frankly I have no clue if I will make it through the whole month with the designated candidate, a chinese made Gillette Wilkinson.

The chinese Gillette Wilki is a very smooth blade, but I'm scratching my head when it comes to their longevity... well, I shall see if it was a smart move to choose a blade I'm not familiar enough with...

First shave: no issues, just a smooth shave with a smooth blade right from the start.

I don't know how this is going to go? I Had a real nice shave this morning with this setup, but the perceived lack of sharpness from the shark makes me wonder if it will still be cutting a month from now.

No, there isn't, if both are made in India. There is a Chinese version sold in India too. They are different to the Indian made ones.
