Tsuge + Drew Estates

Just stumbled onto these press releases while on drew estates website. Apparently they are becoming the new north america distributor of Tsuge pipes. Tsuge is also making a pipe line exclusively for drew estates. Not sure how i feel exactly about that pipe especially at the MSRP of $250 which I think is a bit high. For that price there are lots of other pipe makers I would be looking at.

Anyhow here are the links to the press release about the distributorship and about the new pipe line.

I agree about the $250 price tag. Interesting pipe, but way too many others at that price point attract my attention, too.

Agree with the price being very high on that particular line and I'm curious with the large metal bottom if it will heat up quickly and stay hot. I have been looking at Tsuge for a while not and even their other tankard line has minimal metal top and or bottom. Interesting though.

Darn it, does this mean I have to pull the trigger on a Tsuge from smokingpipes before their inventory dries up?!?

$275 will get you a 2013 Tinsky Christmas pipe (shaped like the 2013 LE) in Morta. Guess who will get my money first

That is a little pricey. It's kind of playing on the idea of a Falcon. Nording also came out with pipe very similar in design. You could get two Petersons for the price of that Tsuge pipe

So this is what i was worried about as well, but i believe that they are just the distributor now which will deal to the Pipe shops in North America. I have been keeping an eye out for a reasonably priced Tsuge that catches my eye for sometime now and i am keeping my fingers crossed that they do not get limited to one store.
