So had a leaf that broke off about a month ago. I tossed it in the three season room where it proceeded to dry. (And get pretty dinged up from the wife constantly setting things on and around it. :sneaky2:)

I used it to make a taster cigar. I wasn’t expecting much as the leaf wasn’t fermented, only cured. I thought it would taste of ammonia but it was actually good. I wish that I had put aside a few leaves so I could’ve rolled something maybe corona sized. Well, soon enough, I plan to start harvesting tonight.

You are a rock star. I don't even smoke and I find this fascinating. Keep us updated with lots of pics!

So it turns out that harvesting is sticky work. I pulled off about half of the leaves and left the smaller top ones hoping that they might grow a bit more. Weather is starting to cool off around here. We’ll see if the growing season is done or not.

Father in law harvested these guys. Bright VA.
He still has last year's crop hanging in his basement. These are going in mine. Eight bundles. We'll see if my dehumidifier can get it dry enough in my basement.
I bought the seeds three seasons ago. He was going to pick them the first year but got tired and it had a surprise frost overnight. He saved some seeds in time.
Second year he got some. Bundle like said. Told him to rehydrate and roll it up. He's a secret cig smoker. Hence me picking the bright VA. Can be used for both. I'll see what I'll do with them when they dry out. If they don't mold.
