trumpers, which is best?

i know this is a somewhat subjective answer, so im really just looking for an informed opinion. im thinking of buying either lime, almond or coconut soap, which would you recommend?

I have the coconut which is a really nice scent. When my wife orders a pina colada cocktail on holiday, it reminds me a little bit of that.

I highly recommend ordering their samples, but it is hard to go wrong with Rose, Lime, or Coconut. Personally, I have found that, of the three, Coconut gets the most use.

Good luck with your choice! If all else fails, it is not too difficult to trade trumpers on the forums.

Regards,
Chase

I've been hankering after the Limes, but for some reason of late I've decided to get the Violet. I've never used any Trumper soaps, but am a big fan of their creams and colognes.

I used Violet. It's very good but I'think I'm a little bit alergic because I always finish with a red face, like a sun burn...

I have the Coconut and like the smell, and it lathers great! But, now I want to try Limes! :w00t::lol:

I don't believe Trumpers makes a bad soap and their interent site gives an explanation about which soaps go with skin types. Limes removes the oil from skin. Violet and Rose are neutral. Almond and Sandalwood add oil. Coconout is very gentle on the skin.

A good shaving soap provides protection to the skin, gluide for the blade, doesn't loose its strength or dry out on the face whislt you are shaving and finally it shouldn't dry your skin.

If you select the soap that matches your skin type best, you should find Trumpers to be not just a good soap but a great soap.

If you have got dry skin however and you use the limes soap, don't be suprised if you find the soap to be drying.

There is a bit more to it than which one smells nicest and it really does work to match the soap to your skin type.

I was never aware of this. I wonder if this is true for other makers soaps as well.

I think it is.

I know that in the Summer months I enjoy rose and sometimes even lime.
In the winter however my skin gets dry and I prefer a soap with oil in it such as almond.

Sometimes if my skin is very dry and even chapped from cold weather or the dry atmosphere, i find all soaps to be drying and use something extra to put back what the weather or overheated rooms has taken away. Maybe a pre shave oil or a good quality after shave balm.

Yes I can tell the difference between soaps in this respect and it is true.
