Trumper's Rose

I've been using Trumper's Rose shaving soap lately and I'm really enjoying it. Does anybody else like this stuff of am I just a girly-man?

Rose is very big in the UK. Lavender is pretty popular here. I prefer the dry lavender scents.

It doesn't make you a girly man unless you carry it home in a "man purse"

I too really enjoy the rosé scents too. Very classic 19th century men's scent. I'm trying a sample of truefitts rose in the morning.

This will be a soap that gets the 3017 treatment sometime in 2013! I used it twice and like the lather and scent. Very good soap.

Trumper's Rose is one of my 3 favorite soaps. I also always keep a Rose cream on hand (currently TOBS, but the next tub will be T&H). Rose is my go to anytime my face feels kind of beat or I don't feel well.

It was my first cream (Trumper's Rose) and subsequently my first soap (also Trumper's). It rarely gets used these days, mainly owing to the damp and miserable weather we've been having here (I like to use it in the Spring and Summer months).

But I've had a puck always since I started this hobby, back in 2005/6. I still have the original wooden bowl from back then.

Your society or the people you socialize with have accepted and promoted rose as girlish.

Men around the world have been wearing rose for centuries.

I really wanted to like this one. The smell was great, but I did not like the performance. I got less protection with it than anything else I have tried so far.

I like Trumpers Rose. Ive only tried the shave cream but I assume its the same scent as the soap? Like Greg, I like the lavender soaps and creams also.

You probably got some of Trumper's latest reformulation. They only seem to make it worse every time they screw with it.

I was once a HUGE fan...using it exclusively for months. Melissa purchased me a refill puck for Christmas and it is right up there with the performance of the Blenheim Bouquet reformulation. Sad!

I've got a tube of the rose cream sitting in my mailbox at home. I can't wait to try it out, and hope I won't perceive any performance issues....

Trumper's Rose soap was my very first soap bought 3 years ago and loved it. Unfortunately, the pucks coming out these days are hit and miss. Get one made 2009 or earlier and it'll be heaven. 2010 or later and be prepared for the worst.

One of the better Rose scented soaps, glad I was able to stock up on the tallow version some time ago.....I also have a very good one of the reform version, so I guess I got lucky.

I broke out my tub of GFT Rose this morning and had a very nice shave with it. A couple years ago I bought this partially used tub of the b/s/t, and it works quite well. Did not come with the box, so have no idea about the age/ingredients - doubt it is the tallow version. It is down to perhaps 25% and I do not know what I am going to do when it is gone. Original intent was to buy a refill, but GFT (new formulation) is getting so many mixed reviews that I am uncertain if I will order. Guess time will tell!

Just order it and if you have problems just contact customer service to send you a refill

I've had my Bowl of Rose for a while. It didn't get much use because I have really hard water. I installed a water softener and now it works great! I'm planning to use it all spring and most of the summer (when it's 100 degrees day after day, I have to switch to Proraso).
By the way Abu Dhabi, "Girly-man" was a catch-phrase coined by an American immigrant body-builder, turned movie star, turned politico. Not some derogatory term I or my friends came up with.
I love the scent of roses, I've grown roses since I was a kid and their image is beautiful!

I have a puck I picked up in a BST soap bundle a couple of years ago - no idea what version it is. I break it out every now and then to change things up from my usual shave stick/Bigelow rotation.

It usually works well for me, and the scent is pleasant.
