Trumpers Eucris Compares to .....

I received Trumpers Eucris as a sample and tried it today. Wonderful scent, but what is driving me crazy is I have used something that smelled very much like it and can not remember what it is. does anyone know what compares to it?

Nothing specifically, but it's a very traditional male scent. That moss note has been used heavily in a lot of men's scents through the years.

I had the same feeling of deja vu with it (at least in soap form). This is not an age dig, just an observation, but my grandfather wore something very similar. My girlfriends dad also wore a similar scent, but she could not place what exactly it was. Its a nice scent but the mental association was to much for us and I passed mine on to someone else.

It is a very old school scent no doubt about it. Released in 1912.

You can find it manly and dignified or "old." Depends on your point of view.

Thanks to a wonderful gentleman on this board I have access to the wonderful, wonderful Eucris.

It has quickly become my favorite cologne.

There is traces of just about everything manly in it.
I really enjoy the hint of oil & old, crusted graphite grease.

Eucris smells like I imagine Thomas Alva Edison smelling when he finally on a rare occasion took a few hours off from work & cleaned up, dressed up & went to the theater with his wife.
