Tripp Magazines

I have a considerable collection of 1911 magazines. Many different makes.

Heard good things about Tripp; bought a couple of 9 round magazines in 10mm for my Ruger SR1911. Did not expect this. Is this a normal fit?

Seem to work alright. Never had a magazine that protruded like that though. Methinks snagging is a potential problem. Called Tripp Research last Monday. No response.

Looks like it would better help in stripping a mag if it gets stuck compared to a flush mag?

Is a 9 round magazine the standard for a 10mm in a 1911? If the standard is 8 rounds, then that is probably OK if it functions properly.

Part of the Tripp "magic" to get 8 rounds in the .45 ACP to feed reliably is a slightly elongated tube that will extend beyond the bottom of the magwell. I presume that is a design feature in their 9 mm and 10 mm offerings as well.
