I have an XL C&E Super Badger brush that is just too big...would I destroy the brush if I was to trim a bit off the top so to speak?

Yep, it would ruin it. Sell it in the BST and get a smaller brush.
It would make the tips more prickly. It would still lather but it would lose it's softness quite a bit.
I'm not even going to put what I read when I read this thread title. 
It's on the B/S/T already! Justinsane does not waste time. It's great to see someone who acts quickly on good advice.
