Tried TOBS Avocado for the first time..

Hi,

So I tried TOBS Avocado cream with my merkur 38c and a feather tonight. I superlathered it with KMF unscented and a few drops of glycerin. It was awesome. Great thick cushiony lather. The smell was nice, very green. The wife came in and commented on how good it smelled! :thumbup1:

I like it! :w00t:

The efficacy of TOBS Avocado was never a question; happy to hear that you and SWMBO are enjoying the scent.
When you're finished with your tub, I have one (used twice). :wink2:
Scents are a YMMV thing and I didn't care for it.

I know a lot of people like it, but it smells like Lake Erie to me. Lathers like a champ but I cant get past the smell.

I'm a big fan of Avocado, but does it really need to be superlathered? Have you tried it solo? It's amazing on it's own.

Try it alone for a while. TOBS creams are good quality and don't need to be superlathered.

As much as I like TOBS Avocado for its lathering ability and moisturizing properties, I find the smell rather tepid. I usually superlather it with something else to have a more interestingly scented shave.

I didn't care for the scent at first either, but after shaving with it a couple times it grew on me immensely. I'm definitely a fan now.

Shaved with TOBS Avacado this morning. I enjoy the clean scent, and the lather is moist and not too fluffy. Great product, DFS.

I don't see the "cucumber" thing at all. There's certainly no melon in it.

If you close your eyes and give it a whiff, you'll see that the predominant scent is that of freshly cut grass. The secondary scent is clearly floral.

For me, the predominant sent is "nasty" and the secondary sent is "kinda gross". :001_tt2: But I do like the lather.
