Treet SE Blades at Rite-Aid

The Treet SE Blades. They are at my Rite-Aid, and likely other Rite-Aids.

That's... pretty much it.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, after my first SE shave, my face is still attached and I have ALL my bloods!

Maneuvering the big head was pretty awkward, so there's rough spots under my nose and around my chin. The horror stories got me nervous, so I only did two passes and touch-up, but there was very little irritation.

I'm definitely trying again tomorrow, though. A SE feels strangely satisfying! :biggrin1:

I find it satisfying as well. I use a DE more, mostly because I have 700 DE blade and about 20 SE blades.

Never really had and blood-letting once I got the angle right during the first shave. Plus I have a open comb micromatic on the way.

I've been using the Treet blades from Rite Aid and their CVS counterparts and don't have any complaints about them. I wish I could get more than 3-4 good shaves per blade, like with my DE blades, but they're so much cheaper than cartridge blades that they're still a fantastic deal.
So far, I've used them in a Gem travel razor, a bullet tip Micromatic, a Gem Junior, and a Gem pushbutton, and all have given good shaves. The most I've bled so far has been with a red tip SS and with a Tech loaded with a Racer blade(that later provided a fantastic head shave).

The audible feedback from most Gems is simply amazing, as are the shaves.

How true. Every time I shave with a Gem, I hear it taunting my Injectors. It says, "Schick, Schick, Schick, Schick". My 4 Gems came in 2 different lots that I actually bought for the Gillettes. I was going to sell them until I bought some SE blades and tried them out.
The Gem Junior gives one of the closest, yet most comfortable shaves I've ever had. 4 passes gave me BBS with no bleeding and no irritation.

I need to buy some more SE blades. I just wish CVS hadn't stopped carrying their Injector blades, and I wish Rite Aid hadn't stopped carrying the ASR-made, store brand Atra carts. The ASR Atra carts give me a better shave than Gillette-made Sensor and M3 carts.

GEM's are my go to razor 5 or 6 days a week. I still enjoy using the DE's, but they just aren't as much fun. I've been using a Micromatic Clog Pruf a lot lately. It provides a nice balance between the open comb MM's and the safety bars of the G-Bar, Featherweight and Pushbutton, but I love em all.

As to the Treet blades, they're my favorites but do only last 3 shaves or less. I can get several more form the Ted Pellas or the Walgreens/GEM/Personna blades and the performance is close enough that I'm sticking with them for the most part.

I haven't tried the Featherweight yet, or the pushbutton. But I plan on it. I have used the G bar and the Contour, and they provided close shaves, but not on the par of the OCMM or the 1912's.
