Had some odds and ends lying around, including a couple Treet Platinum blades. Threw one into my Merkur Slant this morning...the results were not good. I must have had 8 weepers and the worst razor burn on my neck that I've ever had. I immediately pitched the rest of them and decided I didn't want to Treet myself anymore.

My first shave with the Platinum Treet gave me neck weepers also. I underestimated the sharpness of this blade and my technique was maybe a bit sloppy. On my next shave I made sure my prep and lather was top notch. I also made sure my technique was right one. My shave was BBS and no irritation. Platinum Treet blades for me are very, very sharp and shave well for me given adequate care. On the other side of the spectrum for me are Personna Labs being less sharp and exceedingly smooth. Labs will perform well with sloppy technique and less than perfect prep and still give a great shave.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them; Treet Platinum is in the running as my favorite blade at the moment. Loaded in a Merkur 41c OC, I've thoroughly enjoyed the shave and aftercare the blade gives me.
Maybe you got a dud..Treets work very well in my razors...get a new pack and give them a try,you will know for sure then.
