Travelling with soap

I have to travel a lot and sometimes overseas and have found shave soap to be easier to use and less messy than shave cream. I have a Col. Conk travel soap container and have noticed that many containers barely have room left when the soap is in it. After using it, (I carefully swirl the brush about 20 times) there is still moisture on the soap and around it. Is it okay to just screw the lid back on and throw it in my bag, or will then build of moisture everytime I use it decompose it somehow? I also have the same question concerning the Proraso tub soap.

I would drain any standing water out. Especially with Col. Conk as glycerin soap will soften pretty easily. I shave at the gym 5 days a week, I use Tabac cream in a tube. Put a bit in the palm of my hand and then load my brush from my hand. Wipe my hand off on my face and then proceed to build my lather on my face with the brush. Works a treat and requires no hardware other than my brush.

I use a Gold-Dachs travel tin and yes, I can just twist on the lid and toss it in my bag. I am careful and use as little water as necessary on the soap, and when I get to where I am going I open it to make sure it properly dries.
