Traveling mistake

Back in Ohio to visit my parents. I thought I packed everything I needed for some great DE shaves.
Well, I seemed I forgot the most important thing--- the razor!

So I had to shave with a Fusion today. At least I had the stuff for a good lather which made the shave bearable. Everything above the chin went very well but below the chin and neck area are not enjoying the cart.
I will be putting together a nice travel kit in the very near future so this does not happen again. Was looking forward to taking my time shaving while on a short vacation.

I'm a one razor, one soap, one brush, and one aftershave guy.....except for this. So I don't forget anything I have duplicates of everything* in a travel kit.

*Almost everything. I still carry the Fusion for travel.

Look for Sally Beauty Supply. They have stores everywhere. They usually have a cheap razor and the orange box Derbys.

That is why I have a dedicated travel razor, brush, cream, and aftershave. I never leave home without my travel set in my toilet bag.

Thank you for the idea of a Sally Beauty Supply. One was only about 5 minutes away and scored a 5 pack of Personna's in a blue package and a cheap DE razor. Razor is not the greatest but it will be better then the Fusion. Never tried these blades so tomorrow's shave should be fun.

With my job I travel fairly regularly, staying in motels most nights. I put together a travel kit including an op shop gillette (with matching period correct case), travel EJ Best and some proraso stuff. Mug from any motel does the trick as a lather bowl :)

Very good to know just in case.

Yes, that is the one they had.
The razor, while not ideal, worked fine for me this morning. I had an alright shave this morning as it took a little while to adjust to the new razor and blade. Only did two passes as my face seemed a little sensitive from yesterday shaving with the Fusion. Much more enjoyable shave though compared to that Fusion.

there's also a shop in Hilliard (west side of Columbus) that has a decent selection of blades if your in central Ohio, and need a different blade
