Traveling kits/cases?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I couldn't find a section that addressed this so here we go:

I bought a Tommy Bahama shaving kit: http://www.tommybahama.com/TBG/Men/Wedding/PRD_4169TM37/Sand++Surf+Canvas+Dopp+Kit.jsp

I like TB stuff but, it is just a basic travel kit. I am interested on jpw everyone packs their gear for traveling. I am assuming DE razor in the side zipper pouch but am confused on how to protect the brush.

What do you travel with and how well does it work for you?

Also, any info on bringing a DE in a carry on for a flight would be interesteing.\\Thanks guys!

This is what I took on my last vacation (3 months on the road)

Brushes went into travel tubes.

Pill bottles with air holes drilled in the lid and bottom make good containers for brushes when travelling, ask your local pharmacy and see what sizes they have.

A DE in your carry on is fine - but no blades allowed, although expect it to get checked for blades.

So, do assuming all you have is a carry on (short trip) how so you bring blades?

Love the Pelican.....and pill bottle ideas!

Check them.

Mail them to your destination

Buy them when you get there (walmart=wilkinson - cvs=dorco)

Looking under my sink for old cartridge razors I ran across an old bag that I must have gotten while working at Compaq. Handle, hanger, a few clear plastic sleeves, a few mesh pockets, a zipper pocket, a number of elastic straps for securing bottles and other items. I was just about to order a similar looking bag from eBags. Score!

My current travel setup. I'm away from home for months at a time (return on a bi-weekly WE visit). So I check my bags and carry what I want. It's usually mix and match.

To protect your brush you can put it in a roll of toilet paper, if there is any toilet paper on the roll is up to you.
Double edged blades can be put between two peaces of cardboard. keeps them from cutting things up.

Can you give some details on the folding kit in your first pic? I'm looking for a kit in that style.
