Travel Tech Appreciation

Hey guys, I recently purchased a Travel Tech off the bay and just have to tell you how much fun it is. I've gotta admit that I only bought it to have one in my collection (and they are so cheap, it is hard to talk yourself out of it) but I was surprised at how well it shaved. It is mild, ultra light, and VERY maneuverable. You would think that the short handle would make it hard to shave with, but that just wasn't the case since I normally grip the handle closer to the head anyway. Now, I don't think that this will ever become my go-to razor, but it sure is a fun little Saturday shaver. Not recommending that anyone pay a lot of money for one, but if you can get one cheap, it's worth it just for the experience.:thumbup1:

It's what I take on the road, though I have taken a longer Bakelite handle with me the last couple of trips. I think I paid $3 on eBay.

I just received and used a travel razor today and I think with my skin and beard it's perfect. I have developed sensitive skin and have a thick sofr beard. I want an old tech for everyday shaving.

I have two Travel Techs more as a novelty than for utility. I see no true size benefit over a heavy or ball-end Tech so I take those on the road. Heck, even a Super Speed stashes nicely. I have recently found a use for the Travel Tech head... I paired it with a Weber Bulldog handle. A very nice heavyweight combo.

I got one for the novelty factor, too. Works, mild, etc, but if I am bringing a shave stick instead of a puck and bowl the handle doesn't take much space. Traveled with shavettes, too, but never a straight. :)

Ive been looking for one on ebay for a while but they always seem to go for more than Im willing to pay. One finished on the bay for £15 and it had 2 cracks in the handle.

Normally I am the type of person who likes things big and heavy (pens, razors, cell phones, etc. . .) but I really enjoy the travel tech. I have it in my travel kit and always seem to get good shaves out of it.

I might be one of the few, but I really enjoy shaving with mine. Yes it is mild, but it is also very smooth. The handle might not be the perfect length, but it's weight makes it feel very balanced. Sad really it does not see action more often...
