I have a travel razor set that has a pouch for a pack of blades. Given that I have a 100 box of Personna Lab Blues that are individually wrapped, I bought a vintage blade safe. I can get 3 wrapped blades in the safe as the wrappers are slightly wider than the safe. If I unwrap the blades, I could get several more in the safe. Is there any downside to storing unwrapped blades in such a safe? It is a Gillette blade safe. I appreciate y'all's input.

I wouldn't unwrap them until ready to load in my razor. Loose in the holder, I'd think they rub up against the side, which would affect their sharpness.
Keep 'em wrapped. You don't want nicked edges to gouge your face.
Also, it'd make me nervous if the bank came open during travel and cut up my other toiletries. And why risk cutting yourself for a few extra blades? I'd think 3 would be plenty for most travel needs.
I keep one empty plastic pack from Feather this occasions. It's easy to slide new wrapped blades through the exit opening and the back side is easy to open with my thumb nail.
