Tradere OC too aggressive for a Weber DLC user?

Since acquiring the Weber DLC, I've found myself not using much of anything else. Needless to say I find the aggressiveness and feel to be spot on. But reading all superlatives thrown at the Tradere OC, I'm not very curious. Does anybody use both and can contrast the two? This will be my first foray into OC razors. For background, I have a thin beard and don't view OC as a need, but as a want both for its beauty and to satisfy my curiosity.

Never tried a Weber but just sold my Tradere cause it was a little to mild for my taste!! They are beautifull and solid!! I would say it reminded me of the merkur slant in terms of aggressiveness. Tradere has a closed comb coming out very soon

I have both, and like you, now reach for the Weber as a default. The 2 razors are very different. Open/closed comb not withstanding, the Weber puts a traditional bend in the blade, while the Tradere keeps the blade mostly flat. This means, to me I should say, that you need to use a completely different angle for each. The Weber, with the bend, allows you to use the traditional angle you use on other DE razors. The Tradere needs to be held with the flat top of the head at close to parallel to the face which I find to be challenging at time. Add to that the higher level of aggressiveness to it and I am walking on eggshells when I use it. I also find that the Weber, while closed-comb, is more aggressive than several of the open comb razors I have. The longer handle can also take some getting used to. I hope this helps.
YMMV of course

I have the Tradere OC and your comparison makes me want to try the Weber DLC now. Dang RAD.

The tradere is quite mild. Felt similar to Merkur 34c in aggressiveness

I find the Tradere fairly mild, but I still get more weepers from it than I do from a Futur or Progress. I think it is the short O.C. I love the feel quality and the long handle.. I'm looking forward to the Closed comb Tradere

I just got a second-hand Weber DLC and used it for the first time today. I found it to be a bit more aggressive than the mainstream closed combs (Merkur & Jagger). The Tradere gives a more aggressive shave, but it's not in the same class as Fatip, Joris/Plisson or the R41. I'd say that the Weber is milder than a slant and the Tradere slightly more aggressive than a slant.

Well i have the weber ARC classic handle, and yes its mild, but very efficient. So this is one razor where mild is good because it gets the job done with little effort, its smooth and this helps cut back on irritation and weapers that some get from other razors, Weber is one fine shaver.

As for the tradere OC i dont have one but looking to get a used one in mint or near new cinditiin for about $120.00 Anyobe want to sell theres ? PM me )

I got a Weber DLC (w/ classic long handle) when they first became available, and it immediately usurped every other razor and became my go-to shave. Then I grabbed a Tradere when they first came out, and it has taken over from the Weber. I occasionally pull the Weber out for a shave, simply because it's a great razor and I feel kinda bad not using it, but I definitely prefer the Tradere. It doesn't really FEEL more aggressive than the Weber, to me, but it does seem to cut consistently closer.

Given the high quality stainless steel construction and the short time they've been available, if anyone has a Tradere that's NOT new/minty, they're doing it wrong!

Yeah, the Tradere is built like a tank. I picked up mine off the BST and first shave, accidentally dropped the head into my sink while cleaning it. Didn't even phase the head.
