Trader Joe's Honey Mango

I picked up some of this stuff over the weekend. It is dirt cheap. $3.50 for 8 oz. It is probably considered a brushless cream, but it lathers up nicely with a brush. I love the smell of this stuff and it leaves my skin feeling rather soft. Anyone else here tried this?

Yeah, I just used some today in a super lather (mixed with VDH, an okay combo). I love the moisturizing you get from this stuff. But lather is a little lacking, I guess that comes from it being a lather-less cream I am experimenting with super lathers right now, and the TJ's works great with the soaps I think are less slick, like Williams. I have actually never used TJ's by itself, yet.

I hate everything about those stores, so I'll never use the cream. I take that back...I love the candy and cookies. And Two Buck Chuck is good for stripping paint and cooking with, but that's it...

I've used the shave cream. Good stuff. Similar in thickness and performance to Kiss My Face, if memory serves.

My wife just picked up some of this stuff for me. I really don't like the brushless concept, so I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. Has anybody experimented with it as a pre-shave underneath a soap/cream lather (i.e. like a pre-shave oil, Trumpers skin food, Proraso pre-shave cream)?

Should work OK provided you don't put too thick a layer on.

My fiancee SWEARS by the stuff -- except we don't have a Trader Joe's anywhere close by. I just made her day by spending $12 and getting it off Amazon. Oh well.

However, she HATES the Alba stuff. She claims there's a difference, but I can't tell. The package looks exactly the same
